Jeff Hackney Artist Statement

The transition to professional sculptor was a natural progression after twenty-five years of design and construction experience, graphic design as well as a lifetime of curiosity about design, structure,  and balance.

From  2007 - 2017, I entered seventeen juried opportunities comprised of over 4,900 national and international artist applicants. I was chosen as a finalist or took honors in thirteen of the seventeen, including Best in Show. My works have been collected in both private and public collections in eleven states and Brazil and are included in the permanent municipal collections of Sandy Springs, GA; Charlotte-Mecklenburg County, NC; Burlington, NC, Mebane, NC, Alamance County, NC, Wilmington, NC and King University in Bristol, Tennessee.
